Gospodinovo is a village in north-eastern Bulgaria, part of Bya,a municipality, Varna region. It is located 48 km away from the city of Varna, 70 km away from the town of Burgas and 12 km away from the municipal center Byala and the sea-coast.
The climate is temperate-continental, influenced by the proximity to the Black Sea. It is characterized by a a mild winter with scarce snowfalls and a cool summer. The relief is flat-hilly, as near the village lies a century-old oak forest, among which springs are murmuring with fresh, drinkable water. The population numbers to 380 people. The former name of the village used to be Chelebi Kyoy.
In the village there are food shops, a cafe, a restaurant, a community center, a church, a kindergarten and a doctor's office. Gospodinovo is famous for its stable where fine riding horses and instructors for the beginners are being offered. The dam-lake near the village is an attractive destination to both local fishing lovers and the guests of the village. The reservoir is well-maintained, with controlled access and stocked with fish (carp, carassius and common rudd). It offers excellent conditions for both fishing and repose among the serenity and the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
The roads to the village are third-class, but the settlement is located only 4 km away from Varna-Burgas highway. Bus transportation is available from the village to Varna, Byala and the nearby villages. All communications are available - water-supply, electricity, telephone and coverage of all mobile operators.
Gospodinovo is a peaceful and quiet village situated among an ecologically clean area. A beautiful panoramic view towards the resorts Byala and Obzor is revealed from the outskirts of the village.
The local people are engaged into stock-breeding and vine-growing. The area is famous for the good wine produced there.
The excellent climate and natural resources, the favourable location and the originality of the area offer wonderful conditions for the development of rural and eco-tourism.
