Gorun is a village in North-eastern Bulgaria. It is located in the Municipality Shabla, District Dobrich. Located on the international road Varna - Shabla it lies 4 km south of Shabla, about 13 km from Kavarna, 8 km from Ezerets, 30 km from Balchik, 37 km from Albena.

The village is near the sea beaches (over 10 of the beaches are 5-12 km from it), but not lying on the beach. So it is a quiet place far from the coastal villages, where is felt intense pressure from tourists.
And to the north, at distance of only 18 km of border with Romania is still unknown for Bulgarian tourists the village Vama Veche. This place like a magnet attracts bikers, music groups and young people from around the world.
The climate of the area is unique for Bulgaria - summer is cool and fresh here.
The village is small, with a population of about 120 inhabitants.

In the village there is a community center with library, grocery stores, guest house, pub. In recent years several English families have chosen village as second home. The village is small, quiet and with lots of greenery.
Tourism
The strategic location and clean and natural environment make it possible to combine rural tourism with other types of tourism - marine, hunting, sports, environmental and cultural. Nearby are sandy beaches and magnificent dunes and stunning rocky coves for swimming, dotted with underwater caves.
Nearby is Shabla Tuzla - Lake lagoon, rich in hydrogen sulphide mud and mineral water.
Cape Shabla - the eastern point of Bulgaria stands the oldest lighthouse built in 1856 designed by French engineers. Only 8 km from the village, near the village Tyulenovo marine waters wash breathtaking rocky coast - miracle of nature. Amazing world of rock formations and caves, some of which are underwater. Natural bridge leads to the offshore rocks delightful hanging over it, dwelling colonies of cormorants.
Cape Kaliakra - a symbol of the Northern Black Sea is situated about 25 km from the village.
