Gorno Kamartsi is a village in Western Bulgaria. It is located in Gorna Malina Municipality, Sofia District.

It is 17 km northeast of the village of Gorna Malina, 50 kilometers east of Sofia, 26 km in the same direction from the town of Elin Pelin.

The population is about 230 people.

Gorno Kamartsi a little picturesque village situated in a mountainous area at an altitude of 777 m. On the north is the Stara Planinamountain and tothe south - Sredna gora mountain. Very close to the mountain is located Zvezden Peak.
Climatically, the area falls within an area with temperate climatic influence. It is characterized by moderately warm summers and relatively cool winters. The average January temperature is -1.8 C, the average temperature in July is 18.0 C.

Near the village is the beginning of the river Makotsevska.
The village is electrified, with maintained infrastructure. There are electricity, water supply and communication networks.
Here function primary school Otets Paisii, community center Hristo Botev, kindergarten, restaurant and entertainment, medical practice. Nearest health facility is in the town of Elin Pelin.

To Gorno Kamartsi there is regular transport.

In the next village Dolno Kamartsi attracts with its unique unspoiled scenery, fresh mountain air and the authentic rural life and folklore.
Interest among visitors to the village wakes Art Center Vihroni. This is a unique complex, a favorite place for recreation and creativity of many famous Bulgarian artists. Here organize workshops, educational courses, practiced art tourism.
The complex comprises: lounge debates, meetings and talks, exhibition hall, audiovisual arts, ceramic studio, open studios of applied arts.
