Gornoslav is a village in Southern Bulgaria. It is in Asenovgrad Municipality, District of Plovdiv.

It stands about 14 km south-east of the town of Asenovgrad, about 33 km of the town of Plovdiv and about 180 km of the capital of Sofia in the same direction.

Regular bus transportation links the village to Asenovgrad and the other settlements in the region.

The relief of the village is mountainous and the average altitude is 538 m.
Two small rivers pass through the village - Sushitsa and Luda Yana.
Climate in the region is between continental and mountainous, characterized with mild winters, summers with hot days and cool evenings,  and long autumns.

The population of Gornoslav is about 83 residents.

The infrastructure is settled with partly asphalted streets, water-supply system, telephones and coverage of mobile operators. There are shops available.

Medical services to the village residents are provided by GP in the village of Cherven, about 4 km north. The closest hospitals, schools and kindergartens are in Asenovgrad.

Ancient history Gornoslav is determined by specific geographical and strategic location in the region - its proximity to the renowned sanctuary in endemic area of Lopkite V - IV century BC (about 5 km) road to the ancient Thracian sanctuary of the Bessi - "Belintash" of V - I century BC (15 km) and the Christian sanctuary "Krastova Gora" from XII - XIV century AD (approximately 10 km)
In the area Palihor in 1962 is discovered "Gornoslavsko gold treasure" with many coins of Alexius Comnenus dynasty. The treasure is at the Plovdiv Archaeological Museum, and part of it is located in the National History Museum.
"St. Athanasius' church was restored in 1848.

Sushitsa Reservoir is about 2 km south-east of the village, and about 5 km north is Cherven Reservoir. Those are attractive destinations for fans of fishing.
