Varbovka is a village in the municipality of Pavlikeni, Veliko Tarnovo region.
It’s 9 km from Pavlikeni, 8 km from Suhindol and 45 km from Veliko Tarnovo. Sofia is on 200 km and Varna - 270 km.
Varbovka is located in the attractive hilly district. There’s coniferous and broad-leaved wood in the region, which is very suitable for hunting and tourism. There live deer, does, wild-boars, rabbits, partridge and pheasants. Carp, Carassius and sheatfish live in Rositsa, Lomya and Negovanka River, which makes the village a perfect place for fishing.
Corn and vine-growing are the basic branches in the region.
Near Varbovka is situated “Konski dol” district, where there’re caves and karst springs, as well as a basaltic hill “Kosmatitsa”. “Pusiyata” district has very significant historical value, because it’s connected with the battles during the April riot in 19th c.
Houses in the region are mainly two-storey, brick-built and plastered, with stone walls and minor stone-built constructions.
The infrastructure in the village is very well-developed. There’re two shops, a church, a cultural club, a village-hall, a day nursery, a primary school, a café, a restaurant with summer garden and a discotheque. The water-supply in the region is carried out through the ledges of Rositsa, Lomya and Negovanka Rivers and the local gullies.
