Vrabcha is a village in West Bulgaria. It is located in Tran municipality, Pernik region.

It is 10 km northeast of the town of Tran and 46 km northwest of the town of Pernik. The capital Sofia is 70 km southeast.

It is located in mountain region at the foot of Greben mountain near the flow of Yablanitsa river and its altitude is about 883 m. The climate is with four seasons - the summer is warm but not hot, while the winter is severe. The spring is cool and with lots of precipitation and comes at the end of March - the beginning of April, the fall is warmer.

The permanent population is about 53 people.

The nearest stores as well as kindergarten and hospital you will find in the town of Tran. Again there you can receive medical assistance.

Interesting fact about the history of the village is that according to the Treaty of Neuilly-sur-Seine (1919) the village was split into two. The other part of the village is in Tsaribrod municipality, Pirot region, Serbia.

Tourism and landmarks

Here is situated one of the most picturesque natural formations in the municipality - Vrabcha waterfall. It is 4 m high and in proximity the water has dug 20 meters tunnel in the rocks. At the right side of the rock there is karst spring. Just here there is nice place for picnic, BBQ and relaxation with benches. From here there starts route that is very picturesque and passes through different relief forms, forests, swamp, meadows and goes to Bankya village.

The most impressive natural landmark in the municipality is Erma river gorge.

The village is wonderful destination for excursions, the nature is picturesque with many rock formations, caves, flora and fresh air. It is peaceful place far from the urban scenery. The people that enjoy fishing can take advantage and go to some of the nearly situated dams Yarlovtsi, Lilyantsi and Krasava.
