Vaklino is a small village, situated on the ancient Via Pontica road. It is near the border to Romania, 5 km before you reach Durankulak. The city of Sofia is 570 km away, the city of Varna - 95 km, 88 km away from Dobrich, 13 km - from Shabla.
The relief is flat. Te climate is temperate-continental influenced by its proximity to the Black Sea - the winter is mild and the summer is cool. The population of the village numbers to over 200 people. Altitude - 21 m.
In the village there are: a community center with a large hall, and a rich library, a post-office, 3 food shops.
The extremely beautiful nature, the favourable location and the hospitable people a making Vaklino and attractive and interesting village to live in.
A gully is passing through the village. In the past it was the natural bed of the Durankulak lake. The gully is currently overgrown with dense forests which is the perfect habitat for a great number of wild species: does, wild boars, jackals, foxes - all objects of interest to the local hunters.
The main occupation of the locals is vegetable-growing and, partially, stock-breeding.
