Boyantsi is a village in South Bulgaria, part of Asenovgrad municipality, Plovdiv region.
It is the second largest village in Asenovgrad municipality.

Located 25 km southeast from the town of Plovdiv and the town of Asenovgrad is 2 km northeast from it.

The population is around 1450 inhabitants. 

The terrain is plain and hilly with an average altitude of 183 m.
The climate in the region is transcontinental characterized by mild winter with average temperature of around  -2ºС and hot and dry summer with average temperature of around 28ºС.

The village is well developed with excellent infrastructure which includes complete electrification, water supply system, partial drainage, telephones, Internet and cable TV.

There is regular bus transport to and from Asenovgrad.

There is a town hall, a kindergarten, a community center with functioning library as a part of it and a church. The village has two churches - "St. Atanasiy" and "St. Bogoroditsa".

Health service is taking care for the population of the village. A network of retail outlets and restaurants is developed.

Large part of the population is engaged in farming - agriculture and livestock. Different crops are cultivated, there are also greenhouses and several animal farms.
Many of the inhabitants work in the furniture workshop, in the lime-concrete center, in the workshop for repair of iron cutting machines and production of machines for plastic and other industries.

 

Tourist and other sights:

Around 8 km from the city is located Asen's Fortress, symbol of Asenovgrad. Part of the fortress walls and the church "St. Bogoroditsa Petrichka" which is an unique monument of the Old Bulgarian architecture are preserved.

Bachkovo Monastery located 16 km away is the second largest monastery in Bulgaria. It is one of the 100th most preferred cultural tourist destinations in Bulgaria due to its rich historical value.
