Belgun is a village in North-East Bulgaria, part of Kavarna municipality, Dobrich region. It is located 20 km north to the municipal center of Kavarna, 80 km north-east to the city of Varna and 47 km east to the town of Dobrich.

The village is located in a peaceful, quiet and ecologically clean area among a flat terrain. The climate is temperate-continental and is characterised by a hot and dry summer, warm autumn, cold winter with plenty of snowfalls and cool, yet sunny spring. The population numbers to approximately 380 people. Altitude - 126 m.

infrastructure

In the village there is a secondary school with a gym, well equipped computer hall and a canteen. Children from the villages Neykovo, Septemvritzi, Travnik and Bilo are attending the school, as well. All pupils from nearby villages are provided with with food and transportation free of charge.
In Belgun there is a community center with a library, an Orthodox church consecrated in 1938, grocery shops, a cafe, a post-office, a doctor's office and a mayoralty.
The village is supplied with water and electricity on a regular basis. The roads are in a good condition, regular buss transportation is available to the town of Kavarna and the nearby villages. A telephone exchange and coverage of all mobile operators.
On the territory of the village there is a grain production factory and a dairy farm.
It is interesting to note that in the past the local farmers used to cultivate their lands using camels.

Belgun is a peaceful village with well-arranged infrastructure, set in an ecologically clean area where agriculture is being developed.
Due to its location and climate the village offers excellent conditions for the construction of photovoltaic and wind parks.
The fertile lands surrounding the village are cultivated by an agricultural co-operation which engages part of the local people during the harvesting season. Grain production and dairy production are the main fields of agriculture beind developed.
