Baylovo is a village in Western Bulgaria. It is located in Gorna Malina Municipality, Sofia Region.

It is 11 km northwest of the village of Gorna Malina, 43 km east of Sofia, 18 km in the same direction from the town of Elin Pelin, 28 km of the Trakia highway, 27 km from Hemus.

The population numbers about 304 people.

Situated between the mountains and Central Stara Planina Mountain, at an altitude of about 694 m.
Climatically, the area falls within an area with temperate climatic influence. It is characterized by moderately warm summers and relatively cool winters.

The village is electrified, with supported infrastructure. There are electricity, water supply and communication networks.
Function elementary school Father Paisii, center Consciousness, medical practice, post office, shops and cafes.
Regular bus service to Sofia and settlements in the municipality.

Tourism and landmarks

Baylovo is famous cultural center Elin Pelin, since the village is the birthplace of the great Bulgarian writer.

Near the village is open sanctuary, and signs painted on the rocks. Some of the images were damaged by looters, but the other gives a fairly clear idea about the origin and functions of these symbols.

Near the village are four caves bearing the names Manastirishte 1 to Manastirishte 4. Access to them is free, but the discovery of the caves can be a difficult task without an experienced guide.
