Alekovo is a village in Veliko Tarnovo region, which is situated in the middle part of the Danube Plain on about 50-100m altitude.
The village of Alekovo is situated on the highway Veliko Tarnovo-Svishtov. It’s 26km far from Svishtov, 56km from Veliko Tarnovo, 232km from Sofia and 241km from Varna.
The lay of the region is plain and hilly. Its area belongs to the Danube Plain platform which is a vast, undulating plain, slightly slanted in North.
In the village there are: a Primary school /I-VIII class/, a day nursery, a pharmacy, a park, a church, three shops, some restaurants, a petrol station and regular transport on the route Veliko Tarnovo – Svisthov /per every hour/.
The land is extraordinary fertile and suitable for vine, fruit, sugar-beet and sunflower growing.
