Village of Rudnik

Rudnik is a village in South-eastern Bulgaria. It is part of Burgas Municipality, Burgas Region.

There is another village in Bulgaria with the same name. It is in Varna Region.

The village is about 9 km north of Burgas, about 15 km north-west of Pomorie and about 20 km south-west of the ancient town of Nesebar.

The population is approximately 3670 people.

Plain relief with sea altitude of about 50 m. The climate is humid continental with influence of the Black Sea. It characterizes with mild winter and hot, sunny summer.

Well-developed infrastructure. The village is provided with electricity, water and coverage of all mobile operators. There is a primary school, health services, a dentist, a pharmacy, an orthodox church, shops, regular bus transportation, route taxis to the nearest towns and villages on every 30 minutes.
There is a summer villa zone preferred by Burgas residents and many foreigners.

Tourism and landmarks

Rudnik is situated close to the Black Sea resorts. Swift access to the beach and the resort entertainments.

There are several micro-dams suitable for fishing. Option for classical and alternative tourism - rural, ecological, mountainous. There are marked ecological and bicycle paths.

In the region were found silver coins from the second part of the II-nd century and the first half of the I-st century BC.

The Roman bridge is in southern direction of the village. Its location was strategic in the past. It connected the stock change between Anchialo and Nesebar, and the inner villages of the country.

Interesting fact of Rudnik is the big number of twin births here. According to the statistics of Bulgaria here is the biggest percent of twins toward the whole population of the village.
