Banevo is a quarter in town of Burgas. It is set 17 km south-west of the centre and 1.5 km away of Burgas mineral baths.

In the process of Burgas growing village of Banevo was officially annexed to the town as one of its quarters.

Infrastructure

Banevo is with excellent infrastructure. Regular bus lines connect the quarter with the centre and the other quarters of the town.
Here is the biggest kindergarten in Burgas. There is an elementary school, a community centre, an orthodox church. One of the biggest modern private hospitals is located here, as well.
The dwellings are for seasonal and round-the-year use.
During the recent years many British, Russian and other foreign residents have bought properties here. The area is quiet and tranquil. It is also close to the healing mineral baths. These are the reasons why Banevo is so attractive to buyers from Bulgaria and abroad. The quarter is preferred for investment by Bulgarians as well. There is a project for the construction of 100 luxurious houses, hotels and SPA complexes.

Tourism and recreation

Burgas mineral baths are excellent for developing balneotourism - the temperature of the mineral water is above 40 C. The climate conditions are favourable for round-the-year complex balneo treatment and prophylaxis.
Forest park at the settlement of Banevo is in process of setting up.
There is a dam nearby which is suitable for the development of recreation tourism.
In close proximity is located 'St Petka' chapel where traditionally the fair of the previous village of Banevo takes place each year.
The community centre comprises a group for folk dances, a school group for acting and a school group for drawing.
