Kneja is a town in District Pleven, the administrative center of Municipality Knezha.

Location

Located in Northwestern Bulgaria, 30 km south of the Danube river, in the plane between the Iskar River - to the east, the River Skat to the west, the Pre Balkans to the south. It stretches over an area of 317,812 ha, and only municipal center is spread over seven square kilometers area. Located 60 km from Vratsa, 64 km from Mezdra, 48 km from Pleven and 150 km from Sofia.
Municipality Kneja includes four cities - city and rural Kneja Brenitza, Enitsa and Lazarov.

Sightseeing

In 2000 the city was built Kneja Memorial Memorial Kneja from the town. The monument is located in one of the parks in the center.
