Village of Zornitsa

Zornitsa is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Chepelare Municipality, Smolyan region.
In Bulgaria there are five more villages with the same name in Varna region, Kardzhali region, Haskovo region, Burgas region and Blagoevgrad region.
It is 4 km northwest from the town of Chepelare, 14 km northwest from the ski-resort Pamporovo, about 32 km northwest from the city of Smolyan and 220 km southeast from the capital city of Sofia.
The village has good transport links to the nearest ski resorts and towns.
Village of Zornitsa is situated at 1400 m altitude in the foot of the gorgeous mountain Rhodope.
The permanent population is only 20 inhabitants.
The climate is moderate - continental with four distinct seasons - spring, summer, autumn and winter. Winter is mild and warm. Summer is cool and fresh. Autumn is warm and dry with minimal rainfall in August and September.
The nearest school and hospital are located in Chepelare.
Great location near the resort of Pamporovo and Chepelare, magnificent scenery, ancient green forests and fresh mountain air is a prerequisite for development of eco-tourism and winter skiing holidays.
In the vicinity of the village there are many Eco - trails. Zornitsa is a starting point for routes to the phenomenon - "Chudnite mostove" ("Wonderful Bridges "), area - "Kara Balkan", hut Izgrev, village of Shiroka Luka, and many others.
Many natural and cultural attractions such as old churches and minarets, Museum of Rhodope and caves can be seen in Chepelare located only 4 km away.
