Zdravetz is a village in North-eastern Bulgaria. It is part of Avren municipality, Varna Region, and is located some 10 km away from the village of Avren, 6 km away from Varna-Burgas main road, 16 km away from the city of Varna and just 19 km away from the mouth of Kamchiya river.
The population numbers to 300 people. The altitude is 187 m. The relief is flat-hilly. Near the village there is a big deciduous forest. The climate is temperate-continental, influenced by the Black Sea - the winter is mild, an the summer - cool. The former name of the village was Akandjii.
The roads inside the village and in the area are in a very good condition. Effective electricity and water-supply networks are built. In Zdravetz there is a community center with a library and clubs of authentic folklore, a post-office, an optic's, three food shops, a tavern, a pensioner' s club, a renovated church dedicated to Archangel Michael, a doctor's office. A dentist's office and a pharmacy are about to be built, as well. In the village there is a hotel named "Byala Rada" with a tavern, a barbecue and a summer garden. Regular public transportation is available from/to the city of Varna.
Zdravetz dam-lake is situated 2 km away from the village. On the bank of the dam-lake there is a guest house named after the lake - a wonderful place to relax. The beautiful nature, the clear air and the favourable climate make the village a desirable location for the construction of holiday settlements and an interesting destination for eco-tourism lovers.
