Yugovo is a village in Southern Bulgaria. It is in Luki Municipaliy, District of Plovdiv.
It stands about 10 km north-west of the town of Luki, about 40 km south of the town of Plovdiv and about 190 km south-east of the capital of Sofia.
The village of Yugovo is close to the main road, which from Plovdiv, through Asenovgrad reaches the town of Zlatograd and the Greek border.
Zlatograd - Thermes border checkpoint is built for small-size trucks and cars, and border controls are carried out by Bulgarian and Greek police on the principle of "one stop".
Regular bus transportation links the village of Yugovo to the municipal center and the bigger towns.
Yugovo is situated on a southern slope of the Rodopi Mountains and the average altitude is 700 m.
Climate in the region is mountainous, with typical for this part snowy winters and cool summers.
The population of Yugovo is about 45 residents.
Infrastructure in the village is settled with partly asphalted streets and lights, water-supply system, telephone lines and coverage of mobile operators.
There is a church, a few chapels and shops.
Medical services for the residents are provided in the municipal center of Luki. There also are the closest schools and kindergartens.
Close to the village there are many attractions. In direction Plovdiv is the Bachkovo Monastery, which is the second largest in Bulgariaand Asen’s Fortress. Krastova Gora is about 20 km away, and in direction Smolyan, there are Chepelare and the ski resort of Pamporovo.
