Yavorovo is a village in South Bulgaria. It is located in Chirpan municipality, Stara Zagora region.
There is another village with the same name in Bulgaria - the village of Yavorovo, Kardzhali municipality.
The village is situated 16 km northeast from the town of Chirpan, around 20 km southwest from the town of Stara Zagora and around 60 km northeast from the closest international airport in the town of Plovdiv. The distance between Yavorovo and the capital of Bulgaria Sofia is around 180 km.
The village of Yavorovo is located at an altitude of 250 m. The climate is humid continental. Summer is hot with small amount of rainfalls, and the winter is relatively mild. The terrain is flat.
The region offers very favorable conditions for cultivation of vine, tobacco and vegetables.
The permanent population is around 454 inhabitants.
The village is well developed - asphalted streets and mobile operators coverage. Two community centers are functioning in Yavorovo - "Probuda" and "Ahinora". The closest schools, kindergartens and health services are located in the municipal center Chirpan.
The village of Yavorovo is located close to Stara Zagora which is widely known with its rich cultural history. There you can visit the ancient Roman Forum "Augusta Trayana", the Neolithic dwellings - the oldest in our lands, the Regional History Museum, Museum of Urban Life and a number of other cultural and architectural sights.
The spa resort Merichleri is also located close to the village. Its water is suitable for treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.
Near Yavorovo is located the archaeological sight "Karasura".
