Yakovo is a village in southwestern Bulgaria. It is located in Petrich Municipality, Blagoevgrad region.
The village is located about 27 km northwest from the municipal center town of Petrich, 28 km southeast from the town of Sandanski, 83 km southwest from the town of Blagoevgrad and 176 km southwest from the city of Sofia.
Yakovo is located at the eastern foot of the Ograzhden mountain at 700-800 meters above sea level. The climate is characterized by mild winter, dry and hot summer.
The permanent population is about 92 inhabitants.
The village has electricity and water supply. It has a post office and a small library. Nearest kindergarten is located in the village Mihnevo / about 23 km southeast / and the nearest schools and medical facilities in the town of Petrich.
Cultural and natural attractions:
Church "St.St.Petar and Pavel" is relatively well preserved thanks to the local authorities and other donors.
National museum Samuil Fortress is located 37 km away from the village.
"Rupite" area is located 21 km in the southeast direction - except as a place where lived the famous Bulgarian prophet Vanga, the area is popular for its many mineral springs.
