Yagodina is a village in South Bulgaria. It is located in Borino Municipality, Smolyan region.

The village is situated at 1183 m altitude in a mountain area in West Rhodope mountain.
The permanent population is around 479 inhabitants.

Yagodina is 14 km southeast away from the municipality center - village of Borino, 60 km northwest from the city of Smolyan and 229 km southeast from the capital city Sofia.

The climate here is characterized with lower summer temperatures and lots of rainfalls, during the winter the snow cover stays longer.

Yagodina is a well developed village - it has a town hall, primary school and community center. The nearest kindergarten is in Borino. In the village there is a health service with one dentist. The nearest hospital is in the town of Devin (30 km).

One of the most visited tourist destinations in Bulgaria are in the land of the village. At the disposal to the many guests of the village there are several cozy guest houses and hotels. In traditional taverns tourists can enjoy various specialties of the Rhodope.

The eponymous cave Yagodina is one of the 100 tourist sites in Bulgaria. With its 10,500 m Yagodinska is the third longest cave in Bulgaria and the longest one in the Rhodopes.

In the lands of the village falls part of the Trigrad gorge - overall length of which is 7 km, but the actual gorge is 2-3 km. The third longest in Bulgaria after Buynovsko gorge and gorge Trun.

Another interesting landmark is the cave "Dyavolskoto garlo"(Devil's Throat). Called a "phenomenon" of the Rhodope Mountains, the cave was formed due to tectonic movements. In the past, this unique natural phenomenon has created many legends. One of them said that here Orpheus descends into the underworld of Hades to rescue Eurydice, his beloved.
