Vozhdovo is a village in southern Bulgaria. Located in Chernoochene Municipality, Kardzhali region.

Is 4 km east from the village of Chernoochene, 18 km north from the town of Kardzhali, 35 km southwest from the town of Haskovo and approximately 232 km southeast from the city of Sofia.

Vozhdovo village is located in the Eastern Rhodopes at an altitude of about 492 m. Terrain is mountainous, and the climate is characterized by warm summers and cold winters. There is a regular shuttle service to nearby locations.

Its population is approximately 100 people.

There is a grocery store and cafe. Closest health and education facilities, kindergartens, police stations and post offices are in the village of Chernoochene.

TOURISM

In the village Pchelarovo / 7 km north / several landmarks can be visited:

  • The church "St. Paraskeva" popular among the population as "St. Petka". The building of the bell tower is original - 6-wall dome with cross on circular columns. Next to the church is an old church school and a large fountain near where you can see traces of a small chapel. The church is active and is a monument of culture.
  • Medieval fortress in the area Gradishteto located directly on the way to the town of Haskovo. The castle was declared a cultural monument of local importance. The site is easily accessible and pleasant to visit.
  • Ethnographic Museum, which presents the household collection - costumes, tools and more.

Anglers can benefit from dams Pchelarovo and Petelovo near the village Pchelarovo, and also dam Daskalovo 1 and Daskalovo 2 at village Daskalovo / 12 km northwest /.

About 11 km north-east, next to the village of Beli Plast, is the natural phenomenon Kamenni gabi. Also called Mantarkaya. The rock formations in the shape of mushrooms are carved in volcanic rhyolite tuffs. The area was declared a landmark in 1974.
