Village of Voykova laka

Voykova laka is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Rudozem Municipality, Smolyan region.

It is about 2 km south from the town of Rudozem, about 28 km southeast from the town of Smolyan, 16 km southwest from the town of Madan, nearly 47 km from the ski resort Pamporovo and 270 km southeast from the city of Sofia.
There is regular bus transport to the town of Rudozem.

Located in the Western Rhodopes, along the river Elhovska. The altitude is 936 m. The climate is temperate-continental. Characterized by mild and long winter, and cool summer.

The permanent population is about 350 people.

The village has a town hall, community center, kindergarten, general store and a medical center. There is an internet, cable TV and mobile phone coverage. Nearest hospital and school are located in the town of Madan.

Near the town of Rudozem are located the following attractions:

Medieval fortress "Koznik" - located on a cliff above the town of Rudozem. It can be reached by Eco path "Kechi Kaya" - "Koznik". The castle is part of the whole fortification system in the past served as a defense of the Rhodopes.

Ancient Temple below the Mount  "Tsigansko gradishte". This historical landmark is reached by Eco path "Tsigansko gradishte" - "Sadilishteto".

The mosque and the "Golden Koran" in the village Chepintsi (6 km). It is the emblem of the village and is the only one in the country with two minarets of a 35 m has a rich library with over 800 publications and books in Arabic and Persian philosophy, astronomy, Islamic law and rhetoric.

Monastery "St. Elena" (formerly known as "Saint Iriene") over Plovdivtzi village (12 km).
