Vinarovo is a village in Northwestern Bulgaria, Municipality of Novo Selo, Vidin region.
It is located 15 km northwest of the town of Vidin, 16 km southeast of the municipal center Novo Selo and 212 km northwest of Sofia city.
The terrain is hilly and the climate is temperate-continental. The soil and the climate of the area are favorable for wine production and rural tourism.
Vinarovo population numbers about 740 people.
There was a high school and kindergarten in the village, but now they are closed. Children can be educated in the Village of Novo Selo and Vidin city. Residents can rely on care from a GP and a dentist.
Vinarovo has a community center, football team and restaurant, where are held all major holidays, parties, prom nights, weddings, christenings, etc.
The village is famous for its wine. There is a winery, called "Kalotov" with capacity of 20 tons of white and red table wines. It provides the main occupation of the villagers.
Near Vinarovo is the place Beluyna. There are three old fountains. Other popular places are Bachovo, Selishteto, Murtvinata, Buskoviya geran, Pesatsite, etc.
In Vidin attractive for tourists are: the Baba Vida fortress, dating from the 10th century and related to the defense of the city during the Middle Ages, the Kaleto fortress, the Cruciform barracks with ethnographic exhibition, the Turkish Konak Koluka, the Mosque and the library of Osman Pazvantaglu, the cathedral Sveti Dimitar, the Mausoleum of the first Bulgarian Exarch Antim I and others.
