Vetren dol is a village in Southern Bulgaria, part of Municipality Septemvri, District of Pazardjik.
It stands about 17 km south-west from Pazardjik and about 7 km north from the town of Septemvri.
The village population is about 1600 residents.
The relief is flat and hilly, with average altitude about 440 m.
In the lower parts of the region the climate is continental, and in the higher parts –mountainous. It is characterized with cold spring, cool summers and relatively soft winters.
The village is settled and with excellent infrastructure, including complete electrification, water supply system, partial sewerage system, telephones, internet and cable TV.
The European route E 80 connecting the village to the towns of Pazardjik, Plovdiv and Sofia is about 10 km away. There is a railway station in the village.
Regular bus lines links Vetren dol to the towns of Pazardjik, Septemvri and Velingrad.
There is a town house, church, school, kindergarten, theatre and cinema in the building of the community center. The village also has a stadium and its own football club.
GPs serve the residents’ medical needs. There are shops and restaurants.
Tourism and cultural attractions
There are wonderful conditions for fishing tourism in Vetren dol, with four reservoirs in the proximity and along Chepinska river the fishing Is allowed year- round. With its flora and fauna the area is suitable for botanical and ornithological tourism as well. There are over 150 species of birds in the area.
Tsigov chark resort is about 30 km away. It is a year-round mountain resort, disposed by the picturesque Batak reservoir.
