Valchan Dol is a village in Southern Bulgaria. It is in Banite Municipality, District of Smolyan.

It stands about 74 km north-east of the town of Smolyan, about 27 km in the same direction from the village of Banite and about 240 km south-east of the capital of Sofia.
Bus transportation links the village to the neighboring settlements.

Valchan Dol is in a mountainous area, at an altitude about 906 m. Climate is characterized with cool summers and moderately cold, sunny winters,

The village population is about 118 residents.
There is water, electricity, Internet, cable TV and coverage of mobile operators.
There is a mixed store and cafe.The closest kindergarten, school, health center are in the village of Davidkovo /10 km north-east/. There is a hospital in the tow of Smolyan.

By the village of Bosilkovo there's the place "Chukar". It represents separated, naturally protected low hill, which in the late Bronze Age (XV-XI B.C.) is transformed into a Thracian sanctuary. Here are found the earliest archaeological sites in Banite - clay religious idols, jars and ceramic fragments.

Near Davidkovo there is a dam and pond. They breed carp, silver carp, trout and Moore.

Banite is a tourist center of national and international importance. There are mineral springs, by which state base was built for treatments, and old Bath (Roman Baths) with a reservoir, which dates back to the II century.
