Tvarditsa is a village in the municipality of Burgas, Burgas region.
There are two other settlements in Bulgaria with the same name - in Tvarditsa municipality, Sliven region and in Shabla municipality, Dobrich region.
It is located 9 km south of Burgas, 2 km west of Marinka, about 22 km south-west of Chernomorets and about 28 km away from Sozopol.
It is situated near Lake Mandra on altitude of 59 m.
The population numbers around 480 people. There is regular transport to and from Burgas.
There are a town hall, community center and a kindergarten in the village. There are shops and pubs as well. The nearest school is situated in Marinka village, and the closest hospital is in Burgas.
The village is the birthplace of the first Olympic medal for Bulgaria - Nikola Stanchev. In his honor a momument is being built at the moment. Feast of Tvarditsa is celebrated every year on 8 September.
The place is very suitable for eco and rural tourism. Another interesting landmarks in the region are the Mаrinka estuary, which was declared a protected area, the rock formation "Staring Stone" and paintball field and burst safari in Marinka village.
There are a huge number of hotels, guest houses and family hotels in Burgas city, which offer excellent opportunities for accommodation and recreation.
