Village of Tsenovo

Village of Tsenovo is situated in the Central part of Northern Bulgaria. It is administrative centre of Tsenovo Municipality, Ruse region.

There is another village with the same name in Bulgaria. It is located in Chirpan Municipality, Stara Zagora region.

Tsenovo is about 52 km south-west from town of Ruse, 14 km north-west from town of Byala, 99 km north-east from town of Pleven and 33 km south-east from town of Svishtov.

Its population is approximately 1700 people.

The village is located in the middle part of the Danube plain. The relief is low, plain and hilly. The climate is humid continental. Summer is hot and dry, and winter is cold. Tsenovo is set not far away from the first-class road Ruse-Byala-Veliko Tarnovo, which is part of the international transport corridor No 9. The main roads are to the town of Ruse, Byala and Svishtov. The nearest railway station (Byala) is about 14 km away from Tsenovo.
The region is with excellent conditions for river transport by Danube River.

Tsenovo is a well-developed village. Water, electricity and telephone net are provided. It comprises a municipality hall, a post office, a comprehensive school, a community centre, a kindergarten and shops. There is one doctor's cabinet.

The climate conditions and the fertile soils are the main prerequisites for the agriculture development.

Tourism

The region benefits from very picturesque nature that allows practicing various types of tourism. Many Thracian mounds evidence for the rich historical past.

Yantra River is very suitable for fishing. There is a fishing school. The river is convenient for kayaking as well. The part suitable for this sport starts from town of Byala and ends in the moth of Danube River.
