Teshel is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Borino Municipality, Smolyan region.

It is 23 km south from the village of Borino, 62 km west from the town of Smolyan, 220 km southeast from the capital city - Sofia, and only two kilometers from the border with Greece.

Located in the Western Rhodopes at an altitude of 1025 meters. Summer is characterized by low temperatures and heavy rainfall and in the winter snow cover stays relatively long.

Administratively it belongs to the Grohotno village.
The population is about 10 people.

The guests of the village can stay at a family hotel with a restaurant and a tourist lodge. There is cable TV and mobile phone coverage.

In the nearby village Buynovo / 1 km west / there is a primary school, community center and town hall. In Borino you can find a medical center. Schools and a hospital you can find in the town of Smolyan.

Attractions in the area are:

- Yagodinska cave / 10 km / - the longest cave in the Rhodope Mountains. It is well laid out and there you can see all the caves known in the Balkans. The greatest interest are very beautiful cave pearls, the formation of which require hundreds of thousands of years.
- Haidushki Dol is one of the most inaccessible and beautiful canyons in the Rhodopes. In its sheer white walls towering hundreds of feet above the wild river, growing rare pine. It attaches the charm of this creepy place.
- Devil's Bridge. This is a rock bridge, 8-10 m long with a thickness of 2-3 meters and a height of 30 meters. The rocks on which it is based are completely vertical. Nearby is the waterfall Pruskaloto.
- Videnitsa Peak - 1652 m. The peak was investigated by Irechek.
- The Devil's Throat Cave / 26 km /.
- Very impressive with its beauty Trigradsko Gorge / 25 km /.
- Buynovsko Gorge is situated along the Trigrad one.
