Tenevo is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is part of Tundja municipality, Yambol region.
It is situated at an altitude of 100 m. The climate is characterized by hot summers and cold winters, with average January temperature 0 ˚ C. Spring is cool, while autumn is long and warm usually.
Tenevo is the largest village in the municipality of Tunja. The permanent population is about 1,600 inhabitants.
It is a well developed settlement - the streets are paved, there are grocery stores, several restaurants and agropharmacy. Orthodox Church "St. Konstantin and Elena" is over one hundred years of history.
In the village are functioning a town hall, a primary school, a kindergarten and a Center for emergency medical help, which serves 14 settlements in the municipality of Tunja. The closest hospital is in the regional town of Yambol.
There is a regular bus transport.
The local futbol team "Tundja - Tenevo" has own stadium.
In 2009 in the village opened a branch of an Austrian factory specialized for cranes components. Much of the population processes typical of the area vineyards.
The outskirts of the village, the nearby river Tunja and Tenevo Dam are a good place for fishing and offer excellent recreational opportunities. Around the village there is a non-working track, which today is used for motor racing.
