Svode is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Pravets municipality, Sofia region.

It is 4 km north of the village of Kalugerovo and 18 km in the same direction from the town of Pravets. The town of Roman is 20 km north and the town of Botevgrad is 27 km southeast. The capital Sofia is 84 km in the same direction.

It is located in mountain region near the flow of the rivers Malak izvor and the river Bebresh, and its altitude is 404 m. The climate as in most parts of the Botevgrad hollow is often severe with long winter, short spring - cool and windy and the summer is dry and hot.

The permanent population is about 171 people.

The village is considerably well maintained there are electricity and water installations. The main streets are asphalted and with lighting. The mobile operators have coverage. Bus transportation connects it to the neighboring settlements.

Here are functioning town hall, church, club for old people, community center, store and pub. Schools are working in the municipality the town of Lovech where also you can get medical assistance. There are hospitals in the capital.

The rivers Bebresh and Malak izvor are rich of fish and give good opportunities for the people that enjoy fishing.

Cultural landmark that can be seen in proximity is Chekotinski monastery "St Archangel Michael". Its iconostasis is very interesting and the church where it is situated dates back to XIV-th c.

Near the village of Bozhenitsa and the route to there takes about an hour is situated the fortress Bozhenishki urvich where was found the so called "Sevast-ognyanov writing". It is valuable monument of the last years of the Third Bulgarian kingdom and the fight of the Bulgarian people against the Ottoman rule.
