Svirkovo is a village in Southern Bulgaria and it is a part of Simeonovgrad municipality, Haskovo region.

It is situated 10 km east of Simeonovgrad, 25 km north of Harmanli and 42 km northeast of Haskovo.

The population of Svirkovo is about 450 people.

The altitude is 152 m.

The closest school is in town of Simeonovgrad and the nearest hospital in town of Harmanli.

The streets are paved and there are several shops.

The land is fertile, but dry. Mainly thermophilic crops are growing such as cotton, sesame, melons. The area is suitable for vineyards.

In Svirkovo there is an old tradition in folk singing. There is a group that meets every week and rehearsing. The repertoire is mostly Thracian songs. There are some participations at a national level.

2 km. southwest of the village is preserved an ancient Roman bridge, with significant Roman ruins collective - trove of silver Roman coins (denarii) of II and III century. There are found also two pots with silver treasure consisting of six dishes and two bars (about 5 kg.) with dedications and inscriptions in Latin.

The village's holiday is at 18th of November.
