Stavertsi is a village in North Bulgaria. It is situated in Dolna Mitropoliya municipality, Pleven region.
It is 29 km northwest of Dolna Mitropoliya, 21 km in the same direction from the town of Trastenik and 41 km of Pleven. The neighboring village of Bregare is 5 km northeast and the village of Orehovitsa is 11 km east. The capital Sofia is 170 km southwest and the town of Iskar is 15 km south.
Bus transportation connects it to the other settlements.
Is is located in the central part of the Danube Plain on the left bank of Iskar river and its altitude is 44 m. The climate in the area is temperate and is characterized by cold winter and hot summer the amount of precipitation is little.
The permanent population is about 1778 people.
The village is well maintained. Here are functioning town hall, church, community center, primary school, kindergarten, shops, restaurants and clubs of interest. There is a stadium. GP and a dentist take care for the people in the village. The nearest hospital is situated in the town of Iskar.
The local people are mainly occupied in farming and stock breeding. The look after horses and sheep from the Chervenoglava plevenska breed. There are two plants - for production of sand, gravel and cement and the other produces flour and grains.
The church "St Paraskeva" is constructed in 1868 and is declared cultural monument.
In Kaleto area near the Iskar river you could enjoy the sight of beautiful stoned trees and stems which are protected objects.
The proximity to the river offers great opportunities for fishing and walks.
