Staroselec is a village in North-eastern Bulgaria. It is located in the municipality Provadia, Varna District. Located 2 km from Hemus / Varna - Sofia/, 40 km from the center of Varna and 25 km from the international airport of Varna.
The climate is temperate, with hot summers and mild winters. The terrain is flat and hilly - plateau at an altitude of 360 m. The former name of the village used to be Eski Arnautlar. The population numbers to approximately 50 people.
In the village there is a community center and a food shop. The schools and kindergartens in closest proximity are in the town of Provadia. The roads are in a good condition. The village is supplied with water and electricity on a regular basis.
The territory in and around the village is suitable for eco-tourism, wine, historical, cultural tourism. There is an area near the village known as Lagera near the forest. From Lagera there is eco - trail through the woods that leads to Kara cave, and another to Scythian rock, called St. George. Meadow near Lagera is very suitable for picnics. To it there are three fountains.
