Staro Selo is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Sliven Municipality, Sliven region.
In Bulgaria there are four villages with the same name in Mezdra municipality, Vratsa region, Troyan municipality, Lovech region, Radomir municipality, Pernik region and Tutrakan municipality, Silistra region.
It is located 21 km southwest from the town of Sliven, 18 km northeast from the town of Nova Zagora, 41 km north-west from the town of Yambol and 286 km east from the capital - Sofia. Village of Zlati voivoda is 5 km north.
Village of Staro selo has a regular bus service.
Located 288 meters above sea level. The climate is temperate continental. Winters are mild and summers are hot. Autumn is longer than spring.
The population is 230 people.
The village has a town hall, community center, shop and café. There is coverage of mobile operators, cable TV and Internet. In the village of Zlati voivoda you can find church, primary school, shops and guest house. There you will find two GPs. The nearest hospital is in the town of Sliven.
