Srem is a village in southern Bulgaria and is a part of Topolovgrad municipality, Haskovo region.
The village is situated at the foot of the Sakar Mountain, on the bank of Tundja river. The population is about 500 people.
In Srem there are shops, a church and a post office. Nearest schools and kindergartens are located in the village of Ustrem, and the nearest hospital is located in Topolovgrad. 3 km away from the village there is a guest house.
3 km from from village of Ustrem is one of the largest monasteries in Southern Bulgaria - the Monastery "Sveta troitsa" /Holy Trinity/.
The gorge of the river Tunja (commonly known by the name Darkaia) is a picturesque, protected area, which is located on the territories of the neighbouring villages Radovets and Lesovo and covers an area of 7,850 hectares. The unique biodiversity, for which the area was declared protected, includes over 150 species of birds, amphibians, reptiles and other rare and protected plant and animal species.
In the end of October there is a traditional fall fair.
