Sredorek is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Sliven Municipality, Sliven region.

In Bulgaria there is another village with the same name in Kyustendil Municipality, Kyustendil region.

It is about 49 km southwest from the town of Kotel, 47 km northwest from the town of Sliven, about 70 km southeast from the town of Veliko Tarnovo and 354 km in the same direction from the capitalcity of Sofia.
There is a bus service to the district town.

The village is located in a mountainous area of 650 m above sea level. The climate is temperate continental. Characterized by long winters and cool summers.

The permanent population is about 160 people. The main occupation is farming.

In Sredorek work shops and pubs. There is cable TV and internet coverage of all mobile operators. Village of Stara reka / 3 km northeast / has a town hall, post office, community center, library, school, kindergarten. There you will find a general practitioner. The nearest hospital is located in the town of Sliven.

TOURISM AND LANDMARKS

In the town of Kotel, declared an architectural and historical reserve, tourists can enjoy the rich history and Renaissance architecture. Over 110 homes from the Renaissance period.
Also there you can visit the Pantheon of George Rakovski, Renaissance Museum, Natural History Museum and the Historical Museum, which is one of the 100 national tourist sites.
Villages Zheravna and Medven are located respectively 45 km and 62 km southeast - architectural reserve, keeping the look of the wooden houses built during the Revival period.
In Sliven you can visit the Historical Museum, which houses a permanent exhibition of masterpieces of Bulgarian art.
Ethnographic Museum is in a building from the XIX century with very interesting architecture.
House-Museum of Hadzhi Dimitar - a complex of several buildings restored during different time periods.
Historic Elm, which is approximately 600 years growing up in the center of Sliven.
