Srednogortsi is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Madan Municipality, Smolyan region.

It is about 5 km northwest from the town of Madan, about 25 km southeast from the town of Smolyan, 42 km southeast from the resort Pamporovo, 262 km southeast from the city of Sofia.
The village is connected by regular bus transport with the town of Madan.

Srednogortsi is situated in a valley, devided by the upper course of the Arda River at 632 m altitude. The permanent population is about 920 people.

The climate is continental. Winter is mild and long, summer is cool.

The village has a town hall, community center, kindergarten, elementary school, church-monument "St. Ivan Rilski". There is cable TV, internet and mobile phone coverage. The village has Solar Park. Available to residents and guests of the village are a doctor and a dentist.
The nearest hospital is located in the town of Madan.

Tourism and sightseeing

Srednogortsi hotel complex has a tavern, pool, gym and sports field.

In the town of Madan, you can visit the following landmarks:

- Cave-Museum "Sharenka". This is the first cave museum in Bulgaria.
- Area  ​​"Gabata" - rock with a small cave, where pieces of pottery from different periods were found. Following the path of the rock massif leads to the Thracian mines, where primitive tools for the extraction of ore and clay lamps were found.
- Nearby is the rock 'Rimpapa ", 50 meters high, resembling a man with a cape. Behind it are the remains of an ancient village, where they found traces of clay water.
- Area "Kichikaya" a Proto-Bulgarian fortress, later conquered by the Romans. There are preserved old stone walls of buildings there. The well, dug nine meters down into the rock is also completely preserved.
