Simeonovets is situated in southern Bulgaria; it is part of Septemvri Municipality, Pazardzhik Region.
The town of Plovdiv is 65 km northern direction, about 5 km northern direction as well is situated the town of Septemvri and about 30 km northeastern direction is the town of Velingrad. The village is almost merged with the neighbor one – Semchinovo.
The population is about 950 inhabitants.
The terrain is hilly plain with average altitude of 350 m.
The climate is transcontinental. The winters are mild with temperatures about 0ºС, the summers are moderate warm with temperatures about 20-25ºС.
Asphalt road connects the village with two towns in the area – Stamboliiski and Pazardzhik. About 5 km northern direction the Trakya highway goes through and 7 km away is the railway station „Septemvri“.
There is a primary school, kindergarten and a community center.
A general practitioner serves the needs of the inhabitants.
Places of interest and tourism
Also close is situated the town of Batak where you can go fishing, hunting and do all kind of tourism as well as winter and water sports.
Around 47 km away is the year-round mountain resort Tsigov chark set on the territory of the Western Rodopi Mountain - south-east from the picturesque Batak Dam. Batak Dam waters offer unforgettable moments for fishing and water sports. Many chalets and hotels are at your service in the area if you want to relax in the beauty and fresh air of Rodopi Mountain.
Devin is surrounded by green rocky hills the west is saved from cold and stormy northwest and west winds. The region of Devin stands with favorable weather conditions - mild winters, cool summers and long number of sunny days. The air is fresh and pleasantly cool, humidity is normal.
