Rupkite is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Chirpan Municipality, Stara Zagora region.
It is situated at 214 m altitude. Permanent population is about 370 inhabitants.
The village has a town hall, a church of "St. Konstantine and Elena" and community center. There is cable TV and cover of all mobile operators. One general practitioner takes care for the inhabitants health. Nearest hospital and schools are located in Chirpan.
Village Rupkite for its natural and historic resources, is a place for lovers of rural and cultural tourism.
A few kilometers east of the village towards the village of Svoboda a late Roman fortress "Karasura" is situated. Its main (northern) part is built on the prehistoric mound. During the medieval there grew up a town, encompassing territories outside the ancient walls.
