Ruptsi is a village in North Bulgaria. It is situated in Cherven bryag municipality, Pleven region.
In Bulgaria there is one other settlement that carries the same name in Vidin municipality, Vidin region.
It is 6 km east of the town of Cherven bryag, 60 km southwest of the town of Pleven and the town of Lukovit is 10 km north The neighboring village of Radomirtsi is 5 km southeast. The capital Sofia is 121 km away in southwest direction.
It is located in the Danubian Plain in proximity to Zlatna panega river and its altitude is about 106 m. The climate is temperate and is characterized by severe winter and hot summer.
The permanent population is about 1220 people.
Ruptsi is well maintained village - the main streets are asphalted and with lighting. There are water and electricity systems. The mobile operators are with coverage. Bus transportation connects it to the other settlements, the train station of Cherven bryag is just 2 km away.

The Orthodox church "St Paraskeva" dates back to 1939 and in 2003 it was renovated and reconstructed.

Iskar River also offers great opportunities for water tourism, fishing, sun bathing, diverse recreation activities in the nature. The river south of Cherven bryag still flows in a canyon, which although not as grand as the Iskar Gorge, is an attractive tourist sight.
Lukovit is one of the 100 Tourist Sites of Bulgaria. Here you can see beautiful caves, monasteries and canyons and to visit the landscape park Panega.
Suitable place for an excursion is the village of Reselets (19 km west). There could be seen natural formations, numerous caves and offers interesting tourist routes impressive river canyons. This is one of the few places in the country, where live scorpions.
The region has many groups of rock towers with a height of 20-30 m, which resemble different shapes. The most famous of them are Kuklite and Kupenite. High in the rocks near Rachene river can be seen formed rock window that together with the caves around it forms giant elephant-like rock formation. About a kilometer from the village is situated Propadaloto. Area that falls about 30 meters and is surrounded by vertical rocks.
