Ravnishte is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Pravets municipality, Sofia region.
It is located in low mountain region and its altitude is about 300 m. The climate is temperate and is characterized by cold winter and cool summer, the amount of precipitation is little - the months from March to June.
The permanent population is about 323 people.
The infrastructure is considerably well maintained - the central streets are asphalted and with lighting, there are constructed water and electricity systems and phone system. All mobile operators have coverage and also there is option for Internet connection. Bus transportation connects it to the other settlements.
Here are functioning town hall, community center, Orthodox temple "St George", store and restaurant. The nearest GP is working at the neighboring village of Zhurovo where also there are schools and kindergartens (7 km south) and specialized medical assistance you can get at the municipality.
The nature in the area is very picturesque for here there could be seen many interesting rock formations, karst formations as well as rare plant species as the dageniev rock dill and orchids.
Saeva dupka cave that is in the list of the 100 Tourist sites and is 18 km northeast. This exquisite natural phenomenon is among the beautiful and musician and here you can see the unique for Bulgaria rock formations helictites.
The dams with fresh and clean waters Skarnava and Osikovitsa /12 km southwest near the village of Osikovitsa/ attract the attention of the people that enjoy fishing for the conditions here are wonderful.
Near the village of Osikovitsa also you visit the church "St Archangel Michael" as well as the monastery "St Bogoroditsa". Another interesting landmark in proximity is Chekotinski monastery (18 km west) suitable for walk in the weekend.
For the people that enjoy golfing there are excellent conditions - the golf course in Pravets and the complex Pravets Resort Golf and SPA reaches even the highest standards.
