Village of Radulovtsi

Radulovtsi is a village situated in Western Bulgaria. It is part of Slivnitsa Municipality, Sofia region.

The village is located 33 km north-west from city of Sofia, 10 km south-west from town of Slivnitsa, 33 km north from town of Breznik and 32 km south-east from Kalotina checkpoint.

The population is approximately 60 people.

Radulovtsi spreads at the foot of Viskyar Mountain, at 703 m above sea level. The relief is hilly and the climate is humid continental. Summer is hot and winter is cold.

Radulovtsi comprises a church, a food store and an organized hunting group. Schools and health services are available in the neighbouring village of Aldomirovtsi, which is just 6 km away.

Regular interurban transportation and asphalted roads allow round-the-year access to the village. It is just 10 km from the main road Sofia-Kalotina.

The main means of living is agriculture. It is concentrated mainly in the small private farms.

Tourism

Radulovtsi is a picturesque small village set at the foot of Viskyar Mountain. It reveals splendid panoramic views. The village characterizes with picturesque nature and fresh air. It is easily accessible and preferred for recreation at weekends.

In close proximity 'Water world' dam for sport fishing could be visited. The dam is also suitable for sun-bathing. There are other dams in the region - near the villages of Bratushkovo and Izvor.

The marsh of Aldomirovtsi is a natural dam - one of the landmarks of village of Aldomirovtsi. The marsh is a protected area with many rare species of plants and birds. It occupies territory of 129.40 hectares.
