Prisovo is a village in Veliko Tarnovo municipality.
The village is situated at the beginning of the sub Balkan valley surrounded by hills, thanks to hard penetrate northern cold winds and currents. It is situated 6 km from Veliko Tarnovo, 45 km from Pavlikeni, 30 km from the city of Elena, about 220 km from Sofia.
In the village run Prisovo river that collects water from several springs and was flowing into the Yantra River in the past. In the adjustment path leading to town of Elena was formed the dam of Prisovo.
On the outskirts of the village is the Monastery of Prisovo- St. Archangel Michael. The monastery was founded in the 15th century as a literary school. He has held rebels, revolutionaries and Renaissance. He was burned repeatedly, but with the help of many villagers and guilds was raised again in the middle of the 19th century.
In the village of Mindya, which is located near located guest house "Helena". It offers quality and luxury service combined with beautiful natural landscapes of the Elena Balkan. Near Iovkovtzi Dam visitors can practice fishing, visit the horse race or cultural and historical landmarks. There are numerous pubs, which offer traditional Bulgarian dishes.
Only 10 km away from Prisovo is situated the architectural museum in the village of Arbanassi. The old settlement brings together historical landmarks, unique Renaissance architecture, attractions, luxury hotels, inns and guest houses.
The village has a community center, kindergarten, and nursing home.
Prisovo is located close to the European road E-85.
There are convenient bus lines to Veliko Turnovo, the monastery of Kapinovo, the village of Mindya and town of Elena.
