Polyanovo is a village in southern Bulgaria and it is a part of Harmanli municipality, Haskovo region.

There is one more village with the same name in Aytos municipality, Burgas region.

The settlement is 9 km north of Simeonovgrad, 10 km southeast of Harmanli and 30 km southwest of Haskovo.

Population is about 250 people.

The terrain is flat, with an average altitude of 130 m. Climate is continental, characterized by mild winters with average temperatures around 0 º C and hot dry summers with average temperatures around 26 º C.

The village is developed, with good infrastructure, including electrification, water supply system, sewerage, telephone, internet and cable Tv networks.

Regular bus transport connects it with Harmanli, and once a week there is a bus to Dimitrovgrad. About 4 km away is Trakia highway.

In Polyanovo there are a community center and a church. The village has retail shops and restaurants. GP is at disposal for the people. Specialized medical assistance can be found in the hospital of Harmanli.

Landmarks

At about 7 km Maritsa river is passing and the area has several dams suitable for recreation, hunting and fishing.

Perperikon archaeological reserve at the time of the Thracians is located 60 km away area, where excavations are still ongoing.
