Pitovo is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Nova Zagora Municipality, Sliven region.
It is about 20 km southeast from the town of Nova Zagora, 39 km southwest from the town of Sliven, 35 km southwest from the town of Yambol and 283 km southeast from the city of Sofia.
There are regular bus line Nova Zagora - Omarchevo - Pitovo.
Located 190 meters above sea level. The climate is temperate-continental. Winter is short and summer is cool.
The permanent population is about 380 people.
The village has a town hall, church "St. Cyril and Methodius" community center, kindergarten. It offers all necessary public services: medical center, post office, restaurants, cafes. There is cable TV, Internet and mobile phone coverage.
The nearest hospital and schools are located in the town of Nova Zagora.
The nature around provides good opportunities for hunting and fishing, as well as rural tourism.
In the area there are several dams - Bikovo Dam, Pitovo1 and Pitovo2 dams, that offer rich pickings for avid anglers and pleasant atmosphere for relaxation.
In the land of Bikovo village (10 km) there is a mound of Eneolithic and Bronze Age, and 1 km from the village are the remains of an ancient settlement.
In the village of Mlekarevo (18 km) there are 15 tombs, where were found Roman and Byzantine coins.
