Pisanitsa is a village in South Bulgaria. It is located in Smolyan Municipality, Smolyan region.

Pisanitsa is situated in ridge Beech Mountains in Rhodope Mountains, connecting Perelik and Prespa shares. The village is located southeast of mount Snow, about 6 km north of Smolyan and about 245 km southeast of Sofia.
Asphalt road, deviation from the main road Smolyan - Plovdiv in Rozhen, reaches to village of Pisanitsa and continues to the neighboring village Hasovitsa. The deviation is 3 km from the village.
The altitude is 1064 meters.
Winter is mild and snowy. Summer is cool and humid and autumn - long and warm.

Before the village was crowded, but gradually under the influence of migration population sharply decreased. Now permanent population is only about 10 people.

Nearest kindergartens, schools and medical centers in the district town of Smolyan.
During the 80 years of XX century was built rest home and training base of the International Esperanto school, but today it is not functioning.

In recent years Pisanitsa developes as villa area. More and more urban dwellers prefer tranquil village atmosphere for their holiday or weekend. New houses are being build. The village is lively on holidays, mostly on August 15, when the feast of the church "St. Mary" and rural gathering take place.

The possibility of fishing is more than wonderful. In Black and White rivers located just a few kilometers from the village, you can try your luck at trout fishing, barbel, chub, nase, etc.
