Orizovo is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Bratya Daskalovi Municipality, Stara Zagora region.
Orizovo is located about 16 km southwest from the village Bratya Daskalovi, 14 km northwest from the town of Chirpan, 57 km southwest from the city of Stara Zagora, 47 km northwest from the city of Plovdiv and 177 km southeast from the city of Sofia.
The village has a railway station serving passengers traveling from Sofia - Burgas. There is regular bus transport. Next to the village passes the newly built highway "Maritza" - part of Eurocorridor 4 - Dresden - Istanbul.
Orizovo is located in the Upper Thracian Valley at an altitude of 140 meters. The climate is characterized by mild winter and dry hot summer.
The village is one of the largest in the area. The permanent population is about 1410 inhabitants. The main occupation is agriculture and there is also a canning factory in the village.
Available to residents are kindergarten, primary school, community center with a rich library. In the center of the village are situated the city hall, post office and shopping complex, serving the population of surrounding villages. Medical care is in the hands of a doctor and a dentist. The nearest hospital is in the town of Chirpan.
In the land of the village have been found many traces of the existing settlements of Thracian tribes. The oldest mound is - Deliivanov about 3 km north from the village of Orizovo. There are materials that date from four different eras. Part of the archaeological finds from the area of Orizovo are set out in regional history museum of Stara Zagora.
