Ogled is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Rudozem Municipality, Smolyan region.
It is 8 km southwest from the town of Rudozem, 34 km southeast from the town of Smolyan, 53 km southeast from the ski resort Pamporovo and 277 km southeast from the city of Sofia.
There is regular bus transport from the village to the town of Rudozem.
The permanent population is about 180 people.
Located in the southeastern part of the Rhodope Mountains at 922 meters above sea level.
The climate is temperate-continental. Characterized by mild and long winter and cool summer.
Village of Ogled has a town hall, community center and shop. There is Internet, cable TV and mobile phone coverage. Nearest kindergarten, school and hospital are located in the town of Rudozem.
Surroundings and sights
In the area there are numerous castles, churches and monasteries that have been preserved to this day and engage the interest of visitors and tourists.
Above the village of Plovdivtsi at 16 km is located monastery "St. Helena" (formerly known as "Saint Irene").
Above the village of Ravnina - 18 km is situated church "St. Todor".
