Novgrad is a village situated in Northern Bulgaria. It is part of Tsenovo Municipality, Ruse region.

It is located about 64 km west from town of Ruse, 21 km east from town of Svishtov, 70 km north from town of Veliko Tarnovo, 27 km north-west from town of Byala and 13 km in the same direction from village of Tsenovo.
The population is approximately 950 people.
Novgrad is set in the eastern part of the Danube plain where the relief is various.
Winter characterizes with low temperatures and summer with very hot days. The rains vary during the year.
Electricity, water supply and telephone net are provided.
The road infrastructure is well-maintained. It is not far away from the main road Ruse-Byala-Veliko Tarnovo, which is part of the international transport corridor No9.
There is one comprehensive school, a community centre and health services.
The population is occupied mainly in agriculture. The crops are mainly wheat, barley, sun-flower, corn, rapeseed, etc.

Tourism

Yantra river passes near the village. It is suitable for kayak tourism. Yantra is one of the most beautiful rivers from Bulgaria's tranquil waters. The river's part suitable for kayak starts in town of Byala and ends in the mouth at Danube River. It takes three days.
Novgrad is about 40 km away from the National Park 'Rusenski Lom'. It is famous with amazing nature and interesting rock shapes. Ivanovski Rock Churches and The Medieval Fortress in Cherven could be visited as well.
Remains of 'Kale bair' medieval fortress are located 300 m away from the village, at the left banks of Yantra River.
