Neykovo is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Kotel Municipality, Sliven region.
In Bulgaria there is another village with the same name in Kavarna Municipality, Dobrich region.
Situated 28 km southwest from the town of Kotel, 33 km south from the town of Sliven, 354 km northwest from the capital city of Sofia.
The village has regular bus service to and from the towns of Kotel and Sliven.
Located 520 meters above sea level. The permanent population is 350 people. Main occupation is agriculture - the cultivation of potatoes, oats, sheep, fodder crops.
Summer is cool and winter is relatively mild.
The village has a town hall, community center and shop. In Neykovo there is a church "St. Trinity", where the flag of Stoil Chieftain was illuminated. There is cable TV, internet and mobile phone coverage. Two GPs take care of the inhabitants. Nearest kindergarten, school and hospital are located in the town of Kotel.
Tourism
The guests of the village can stay at a dormitory with a capacity of 26 seats, kitchen and dining in domestic style.
Zheravna village is located 12 km away. It is an architectural reserve, and each house is unique monument. At 23 km is situated the picturesque, mountain village Medven. Known for its preserved Renaissance houses.
In the town of Kotel, which has been declared an architectural and historical reserve are preserved more than 110 houses from the Renaissance.
Museum of Natural History is one of the biggest in Bulgaria and also there is a historical museum with 3 exposures.
About 46 km away is situated one of the largest spa complexes in the country, Sliven Mineral Baths. The resort is a favorite place for family vacations and spa.
